When Elanco decided that we should go to Nashville, Woodland Studios, to record some of the Ag Chem theme songs, Mr. Malcome McVie, President, asked that we add “Sweet Carolyn,” to our list because that was his wife’s name.
Patti, give us some language on distribution, timeframes, maybe costs here?
Each year had a special theme songs we used to promote Elanco products. Our album was created as a gift to those attending the events and memories of each year.
"Let Me Live." was just one of the several gospel songs we performed. "Country Roads," very popular at the time, was written and recorded by John Denver.
“It’s A Growin’ Thing,” “Country Boy,” “That’s What It’s All About,” Comin’ Out Proud,” and “The Glory Wagon.” were just some of the theme songs that were written especially for Elanco Ag Meetings and chosen for the recording.
Other songs recorded were created with special lyrics for Elanco Meetings such as “We All Pull the Load,” and “Me and Treflan.”
“United We Stand,” with special lyrics written by The Jack Evans Trio was always featured as the finale of each conference, seminar or sales meeting, whether it was nationwide, statewide or regional. Everyone involved in the agricultural business made commitment to be a part of the “world bread basket.” Whether we were promoting Treflan, Baylen or Animal Health Products, or working with Pork Producers, Peanut Grower or irrigation systems, we strived to motivate and accomplish united efforts across this United States of America.
